Singapore Sling Gin Cocktail

Following on from the Charlie Chaplin Gin Cocktail I just remembered another classic….

The Singapore Sling, it originated in the long bar in Raffles Hotel in Singapore many fab nights of dancing and aural pleasure – hence the name Singapore Sling.

Another classic brought to you by The Twisted Mixologist.

One large shot of Oliver Twist Gin 50ml
One tablespoon of Cherry Brandy
Two tablespoons of lime juice (fresh)
One tablespoon of benedictine
One tablespoon of sugar syrup
Some soda water to fill to your preferred level
A twist of lemon

Add the Oliver Twist Gin, then the cherry brandy followed by the benedictine – add the lemon juice and sugar syrup to a cocktail shaker half filled with ice and shake like a person possessed. Strain into an ice filled sling glass, top up with soda water and trim with a twist of lemon… bobs your uncle fanny’s your aunt, a classic Singapore Sling bought to you from a beautiful tower block  overlooking Singapore.
